Don't be such a dumb*ss; didn't you actually READ the post? I wrote "lame*ss jocks...making those jokes"...meaning that I abhor such crudity.

I realize that living in Miami makes English a second language, but, how about trying to parse a sentence before replying, entiende usted?

Jeez...

Re: Try using some courtesy.

The problem with electronic forums is that people can't see your face when you crack a joke. What's obvious to you may not be so obvious to someone else.

But your discourtesy to Steve is really obvious, as is your racial bias.

Not appreciated.

Can we all just chalk this up to a simple misunderstanding and get along?? :)

Cheers for now :)<P ID="signature">______________

Radio? Uhh.....What's THAT?? :)</P>

Re: Try using some courtesy.

Courtesy is one thing. I see nothing in either post related to race or suggesting racial bias. Bad taste maybe; racial bias no. The weather does not practice racism. It affects every one. To suggest otherwise is its own form of racism.

Re: Try using some courtesy.

Let me clarify. I was referring to this Valkyrie sentence:

"I realize that living in Miami makes English a second language, but, how about trying to parse a sentence before replying, entiende usted? "

This is obviously a slam, and it has racial overtones.

Re: Try using some courtesy.

Thanks Doc Wu! I too thought that was some sort of racial slam. However since I don't speak Spanish, I have no idea what he said :)!. Oh and that terrible thing he said about Miami, imagine?

Scott Doc, Doc Scott!

I'll just chalk it up to a couple of whiners who, when whining, think EVERYthing is "racially-motivated". Besides, I just finished reading tons of "DocWu's" previous postings on this board; what I got out of all of them is that he's a prissy little fussbudget who thinks he's the police-woman of the board. :)

Well there you go Again....

Why pick on Wu, what did Wu do? And your Charlie Cook comment below is a low blow. More ignorance & perceived hate there, Val?.

**Good riddance! Having worked for "Charlie Cook" twice in my career (his real name is some unintelligible Italian surname), I can think of nothing redeeming about him.**

racial slam in Hurricane Alley?

I don't want to assume anything (Benny Hill said when
you assume you make an ASS of U and ME). But I always
wondered about why Valkyrie was chosen as a name since
Wagner, Hitler's favorite composer, was the composer.

But maybe Val just likes Wagner's music, like I do.

BTW -- Ride of the Valkyrie was the theme for the funny
neo-Nazis (headed by Henry Gibson) in The Blues Brothers.
So it definitely has that connotation.

No, I don't consider that a racial remark. Offensive and
stupid, though, because most of us in the Miami market
don't fit Val's stereotype. And we don't like that
situation (where it exists), either.
