HD Radio Live

First look:

(reaction after 40 second clip of 'Conga' autoloads)

Wait a minute. How are they doing 192kbps on an AM signal? This is as credible an example as the anti-LPFM interference recordings. As Bela would say: Bullsh!t!".

Second: OK. Clicked on a few of the links. 32KBPS. It does not sound like FM, uness you put an FM radio in your tub. Lots of artifacts, and this is an internet stream. I would rather hear what this sounds like in severe atmospheric conditions. Or even normal conditions.

FM analog would sound like CDs if the ability to go to 20kHz were possible (and most y'all can't hear that anyway, especially if you think any of this is FM or CD quality) and if the manufacturers built better radios that were available to the general public at a low price (which is an additional reason why HD radio may fail), and the broadcasters could lay off the compression a little.

What happened with that fancy motorola chip for FM? If I ever listen again to FM radio, I would like to know what radio to buy.

And god, the content is just awful !
