Has anyone here been listening to B101's Christmas format?

I admittedly only listen during car rides that are short enough that it's not worth hooking up my phone, but that's most car rides since I go to the grocery store or the liquor store or the gym or Wawa or Walgreen's (LOL) and they're literally all right there.

This is definitely not the library Jerry Lee's B101 was playing! I used to lament that Mix 99.5 WJBR played some really obscure and/or out-of-left-field songs, but this year sounds like the two stations have traded places. WJBR is sticking a lot to the traditional stuff and it's B101 that's playing some head-scratchers. Definitely not the focused (and clearly heavily-researched) library of yore. (This is, like, the only time of year that people can get away with using words like "yore.")

Totally unrelated: If you like Christmas music and you've never heard "Santa Claus Is Watching You" by Ray Stevens, you may want to look it up. It's pretty funny. And no, I'm not suggesting that either WJBR or WBEB should be playing it!

EDIT: It's come to my attention that Ray Stevens apparently recorded two songs with that title? The one I was referencing is linked below.

I wonder how much Audacy is doing like local research on holiday music. I wonder if they’re looking at it as an almost national Christmas format.

Nothing jumped out at me listening…well more background music, but still…

Even a quick scan of the recently played list doesn’t yield any obvious surprises, but that doesn’t mean anything.
