Freevee is no more…

TVLine are owned by Penske, which owns Deadline and Variety. Guess will have to see where this story goes.

So far they turned around and reported the denials as well.

Of course it’s been pointed out Amazon has lied before, so it’s still definitely worth keeping an eye on in the meantime.

What does FreeVee offer that other FAST operators (Pluto, Tubi, Xumo, Plex, Sling Free) don't?
IIRC, FreeVee was previously IMDB TV. They streamed movies and shows and would play ads at about the same frequency as traditional broadcast outlets.

When it became FreeVee, I thought "okay, no big deal. Same product, different name." Nope. It was "here's 5-10 minutes of that movie or show you like. Now here's 3 minutes of ads you can't skip. Now here's 5 more minutes of content!"

The ads were relentless.

Almost as bad as Crackle, though that played the same ads over and over.
