Charleston now has two CHRs again going head to head, as newcomer B-92 will be up against heritage 95 SX.

As first hinted on ALL ACCESS, APEX BROADCASTING AC WCSQ/CHARLESTON, SC flips to Top 40 as WIHB, The Hot, New B-92, Today's Hottest Music. The station made the move at high noon, and is consulted by ZAPOLEON MEDIA STRATEGY's MARK ST. JOHN.

95-SX was always one of the more Conservative CHR stations, They even went Adult top 40, as Mix 95 for several years in the 90s, before bringing back the Top 40 format, and the 95-SX name in the late 90s. It will be interesting to see how aggressive this new b-92 will sound? Chucktown went for a long number of years with no CHR at all, and now they have a Dual Chr war...WOW... They used to have a Rimshot CHR on 99.7 From the Port Royale-Hilton Head market, but that station changed formats to Standards in 1993, and about a million other formats since.
