Filmmaker And Journalist Brent Renaud Killed While Covering War In Ukraine


This is one cases of member of the press and a documentary crew being killed in Ukraine thats so far being reported. Renaud has done segments for the New York Times in the past. Renaud's film crew was on his way to cover refugees when they were attacked by Russian Troops.

UPDATED, with additional details: Documentary filmmaker Brent Renaud was killed when Russian troops opened fire while he was covering the war in Ukraine, authorities said on Sunday.

The head of Kyiv’s regional police force, Andriy Nebytov, also said that another journalist was injured.

Renaud had done work for The New York Times, but was not on assignment for the media outlet at the time he was killed.

“We are deeply saddened to hear of Brent Renaud’s death,” a Times spokeswoman said. “Brent was a talented filmmaker who had contributed to The New York Times over the years.”
 




Update a Fox News Camera person has died while covering the war in Ukraine.
 

New named has been added to Journalists killed due to Russian forces against Ukraine. The Reporter has been identified as Oleksandra Kurshynova who were doing a segment for Fox News.

Two journalists working for Fox News have been killed outside of Kyiv amid the Russian invasion of Ukraine after the news network said their vehicle was “struck by incoming fire”.

Cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski and producer Oleksandra Kurshynova were killed when their vehicle was struck in Horenka, outside of the Ukrainian capital. The Ukrainian ministry of defence blamed Russian troops for the attack.
 

Another member of the press has died while covering the war in Ukraine. This time Mantas Kvedaravicus was killed while filming a documentary.
