February Ratings see KOSY climb slightly

Now in its second full month of classic rock during the ongoing monthly ratings, KOSY climbed from a 1.8 to a 2.1 share of listeners 6+, and cume over 200,000 listeners, but cume is still off over 50% and shares are down a full point. It doesn't look like KBEE or KSFI benefitted from KOSY's switch as both stations were either static or down, surprisingly KODJ seems to have taken off, landing in second place, a rise of several share points. Maybe 60s/70s pop and family music is a winning formula that will take most of KOSY's old audience.

A full rundown on the February ratings in a later post, most likely Saturday. I'll list top ten quarter hour listeners and top ten cume.
Ciao for now.

As promised earlier, here is a rundown of the top ten stations during the February sweeps period (4 week). These ratings are only 6+ ratings and are not the ratings that stations sell advertising with. The 18-34, 18-49, 25-54 year old ratings are used to sell advertising. The 6+ are just for an overall view of total audience. There are 13 4 week periods that are surveyed annually in the Salt Lake/Ogden/Provo market. One named for each month, and one named Holiday, which covers mostly the last three weeks of December and the first week of January.

Top ten stations in February 2013, 6+: (quarter hour shares, average amount of listeners every 15 minutes)

1. KSL AM/FM
2. KZHT
