Excellent Skip From Minnesota to Texas Right Now

Hello!

Getting tons and tons of stations in from Texas over in Minnesota right now, all over 1,000 miles away!

* KKMY-FM - Orange, TX - Super strong RDS in, almost as strong as locals.
* KUHF-FM - Houston, TX - Strong enough to decode HD.
* KQXY-FM - Beaumont, TX - Pretty weak but it's there.
* KKND-FM - Port Sulphur, LA - Strong enough to have RDS and was also the farthest away.
* WEMX-FM - Kentwood, LA - Closest station to me.
* KXKC-FM - New Iberia, LA - Nothing too remarkable, 1029 miles.

...and more. It's still going on now, but I've gotta leave in a few minutes. I captured all of these with my AirSpy HF+ Discovery and a YouLoop antenna. Moved outside and started capturing a loooot more stations, but unfortunately that was towards the end of my time.

Good luck, friends. Let me know if you can get KQRS or KXXR, my favorite locals, if you switch on your radio.

MUF got over 200 MHz in this opening and the 2 meter (144mhz) band was lit up like a red Christmas tree on the DXMaps. It sure was a big opening when I checked the loggers. Very little came out this way during the evening - 90.9 KRWA Rye CO (WAY-FM), 95.5 KAAN Bethany MO (Cardinals baseball) and likely 94.1 KMXJ Amarillo, plus a few UNID religious stations low-band.
