DID I MISS CHENEY'S LAST RITES?

Funny, neither cable or networks covered Cheney's passing.
Guess they were more interested in Aruba before the hurricane.

Then again, as writer Dorothy Parker said when she heard that Calvin Coolidge had died she said, " how can you tell".

As Far as I Know, The Vice-President Is Alive

Vice President Cheney is not dead.

If he had passed away, I suspect the broadcast networks and cable news channels, not to mention their websites, would have had something.

At this point (3:10 P.M. EDT Friday September 2nd), there's nothing to suggest that the Vice-President had died.

It is true that a Vice-President often does not make much news. But were a sitting Vice-President to die in office, it would be big news.

I can see how such a rumor could have started: It is no secret that Mr. Cheney has had heart problems, but last I heard, his health was much better.

I think parklane was being sarcastic. Cheney has been nowhere to be found all week.

Even though he may not be able to directly help much, a Vice President should always be available in a time of crisis. In fact, since he is President of the Senate, he should be on Capitol Hill right now presiding over whatever action the Senate might take.

Thanks, Keith but as Dorothy Parker did say, "how can you tell...." ;-)
