Citadel loss

Todd Lawley, the person who singlehandedly put Tucson's Citadel cluster into the black, has left the building. He is starting his own company to aquire radio stations. He will be based in Tucson and is a likely bidder for the failing CC stations now going on the auction block.

Interesting that Lawley bails just before CC announces that it's dumping 400+ radio stations...

Wonder if he's planning on making an offer...

Lawley has already picked up a CBS cluster in Fresno and is moving there to run them.

You are correct. Now, having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if you see Peak Broadcasting trying to get some of those smaller Clear Channel markets. I doubt they got into business solely to run stations in Fresno, though what a cluster they got! It bills at least 40% of the market revenue and outbills every other cluster substantially!
