Circle TV (KTVK 3.3) to Shut Down on December 31

Well, Gray is launching two new TV networks with Jonathan Katz, Warner Bros, and Lionsgate on January 1st, one of which probably take Circles place.
90% of metro Phoenix's Black population (which is only about 6% of the total in the Phoenix area) lives within 10 miles of South Mountain (South Phoenix, Ahwatukee, and Tempe). The 365 doesn't need to be on a full-powered station.

There is already a channel (Grit) that airs western movies on three channels here (33.3, 51.6 and 61.5). No need for another one.

Gray is all in with sports, and all games need to be on a full-market channel. Suns and Mercury games that air on KTVK/3,1 get full-market coverage. Those that air on KPHE/44.1 also air on 3.5, but they emphasize low power channel 44. 3.5 only airs the games, not the full KPHE schedule.

If they were smart, IMNSHO, they would change the 3.3 PSIP to 44.1, leave 3.5 as the weather channel, and put these new channels on 44.whatever. They don't need a full-power signal in Phoenix.

Three channels (GRIT) that air the IDENTICAL Western movie simultaneously.

Two of these could also go away unless they somehow fill in gaps in coverage. I can receive all three at my palacio de escorpiones.
