Changes at WAFF

https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2019/7/23/cleaning-house-in-huntsville

IT appears that Gary is cleaning house at WAFF in Huntsville.

Gray took over the Raycom station and station veterans are dropping like flies.

Earlier this month, FTVLive told you that News Director Bob Morford was out. Yesterday we told you that longtime Anchor Kimberly Essex was history and now Sports Anchor Paloma Villicana says she is no longer.

Sources tell FTVLive that Gray’s WAFF (Huntsville) has parted ways with News Director Bob Morford.

Morford has been at the station since the Summer of 2016, coming from The Firm’s KRIV in Houston.

WAFF parted ways with Assistant News Director Robert Stevenson last year and the job was never filled. Now it appears that Morford is gone as well and the ND job at the station has been posted.

Here is the job listing and since you know it’s a Gray station, you know the pay will be low:

Some of this was a result of the Gray/Raycom deal according to FTV Live.

It seems that Gray is continuing to part ways with staffers at WAFF in Huntsville.
Earlier this month, FTVLive FIRST told you that News Director Bob Morford had left the station. Now, 4PM and 10PM Anchor Kimberly Essex has left the station she called home for 25 years.

Essex posted the news of her departure to social media:

Note this is one Gray owned station to have gotten cuts so far.
