It won't be long until the Binghamton Broadcasters Reunion takes place.
The free event is open to all Binghamton Broadcasters, friends and spouses.
It will take place on Saturday, September 24 at the Binghamton Riverwalk Hotel, formerly the Binghamton Regency.
You may recall that in a previous reunion singer Chubby Checker made a non-performing appearance.
We are pleased to let you know that we will have another celebrity in attendance to join us for dinner, and to receive an award. We'll be announcing the name of that person in the next couple of weeks.
We have received an over-whelming number of nominees for our various awards. The Steering Committee is close to making a final decision on the award winners.
The primary categories are Broadcaster of the Year, Living Legend, and Special Achievement Awards.
If you have anyone you'd like to nominate, let us know. We'd like to announce the full slate in the next few weeks.
Dave Lozzi has been working hard on putting together the free souvenir CD of Broadcaster Photos. Everyone who attends will receive a copy.
Many of the pictures have come from Jon Scaptura's web-site, which housed an amazing number of pictures.
If you have one picture of several you'd like to share, drop a note, or send an e-mail to [email protected]
The Reunion consists of an optional buffet, cocktail hour, and awards presentation, in that order.
We'll have details on the buffet in the next update. It looks like the price will be the same as last year, $21.95. If you are planning to participate in the buffet, let us know. Menu and payment information will be forth-coming.
