Old news to us at Groove Dallas, we've been playing these for weeks, some for months.... I'm sorry, but LMFAO @ Doctor Pressure! Lord help me if I make a fool out of myself, but I'm pretty sure it's "Drop the Pressue" and it dropped last summer! So did Gadjo and Axwell.

Dr Pressure is the official bootleg version done by Mylo, sampling The Miami Sound Machine's 'Dr Beat'. Sounds awesome and is being released along with a re-release of Drop the pressure this summer.

Gadjo may have been getting played in the Clubs last year but it's full commercial release wasn't until this year. Similarly the Axwell song has had some brilliant vocals added and is getting a full commercial release sometime in August I think.

Is Groove Dallas even a real station? Because there's a lot of online stations, including some owned by fellow board members, who've been playing many of these tunes for months.
The songs Mattii listed are getting played on both Dance and Mainstream CHR radio stations on the FM dial in the UK. Get it? Regular rotation on city grade/metro-wide signals, including some of the most listened to radio stations in Europe.

PS a big thanks goes out to Mattii for his continuously updated list of American radio webcasters:

He also posts on sort of the UK version of Radio Info:

I can't get enough of that Jupiter Ace record. Deep Dish is out on Thrive in the US. Axwell, Lil' Love & Freemasons are forthcoming on Ultra Records.

See.. this is what mind boggles me about how a lot of people on this board complain about how dance music sucks in 05'... and complaining how its getting worse.. and complaining that there is no hope for dance music. There have been sooooo many damn good records this year including house, trance, vocals, remixes, etc.

The Jupiter Ace record is one of my favs... along with the deep dish releases.

This is one of the best years for dance music in a long time IMO.
______________

It certainly hasn't been a bad one.

I was refering to mainstream dance guys, not the entire genre. Nonetheless, look at the sales. Most of that stuff ain't even doing Top 40 in the UK charts.

Good songs or not, if you can't sell em, you can't make more.

Most of these songs definitely made the Top 20, with some even going into the Top 10 and beyond.
Look at the current Top 10, Audiop Bullys is still in there. In fact, it's moved back up into the Top 5. Records in England usually don't chart for too many weeks on the Pop chart (the UK chart is much faster paced the the US one), and yet "Shot Me Down" is not only still Top 10, but moving back UP. 6 weeeks on the chart, where it debuted very near the top.
The Bodyrockers is also moving back UP, and still in the Top 20 after eleven weeks. That's HUGE for any record to accomplish in the UK.

CHRles.....I'm talking Top 40, sales, not the dance charts. Audio Bully's has did well. Bodyrockers is one of those bubbling under songs. It takes a long time to get it, but when you do, you think, "sweet".

The powerhouse of the UK charts is Crazy Frog and Pondlife, and whose playing that?

Again bro, almost all the songs Mattii mentioned charted weel on the Mainstream Pop chart, not just on the Dance charts.

"Crazy Frog" is much more of a gimmick, and while it is getting airplay in the UK it will vanish quickly. "Pondlife" didn't do nearly as well as Deep Dish, Audio Bullys, or the Bodyrockers.

Deep Dish hasn't been released CHRles. It's a pre-sale right now, I have it on order. You know the chart is based entirely on sales.

How they figure out the dance chart, I have NO idea. Do you? I'd be interested in knowing.

Again bro, almost all the songs Mattii mentioned charted weel on the Mainstream Pop chart, not just on the Dance charts.

"Crazy Frog" is much more of a gimmick, and while it is getting airplay in the UK it will vanish quickly. It is however selliong like crazy all over Europe, and is Top 10 in practically over European country.
"Pondlife" on the other hand didn't do nearly as well as Deep Dish, Audio Bullys, or the Bodyrockers sales-wise, nor airplay-wise.

BTW, Audio Bullys is also Top 15 in Holland, and still Top 20 in Australia:

In Switzerland at the moment the biggest Dance hits on the Mainstream chart are Trance anthems from Switzerland's leading summer Dance festivals. This includes DJ Tatana's "Today Is Tommorow", and DJ Energy with "Lift U Up":

Yeah, but hell, play Crasy Frog. It's an amusing song and would generate some interest in the format. 10 years from now? People will puke at it.
