It is always a pleasure to have an opportunity to give a thumbs up to Dick Bartley.
 
It seems that a true pioneer has been left out. His greatest influence may not have been as a jock, but he started as one and continued in sydication and other stuff---------Dick Clark

Also, another guy started as a jock, but made his influence in another role--------Bill Drake

In that category let's not forget about Ron Jacobs and the father of all rock jocks Alan Freed.

Let's also not forget Cleveland's Bill Randle....who kept going right up until just before he passed around the year 2000. In the 1990s, he was doing morning drive....and doing it quite well...at WRMR. This, while also operating his own law practice!

You get no argument from me. Looks like Mike Harvey is still on the air, checking the Internet. He shares the page I found with Dick Bartley, Dick Clark and Scott Shannon.
