I recently obtained an aircheck of WNWV 107.3 in Cleveland from 1990. On the aircheck is a song I am familiar with, but am unable to put an artist or title to. Saxophone almost sounds like Leo Gandelman, but have no way of knowing for sure. Of course, the song is the last on the aircheck, so it obviously wasn't backselled. Here's a link to the whole song from the aircheck: Link. If anyone has any ideas, I would really appreciate it!
On a side note, it was interesting listening to the 45 minute aircheck of WNWV from 1990 that while New Age was incorporated, there were several contemporary jazz instrumentals that I immediately recognized and even are still in rotation at Smooth Jazz stations today, including Pat Metheny's "Chris", The Rippingtons' "Angela", The Yellowjackets "Ballad Of The Whale", Peter White's "Romance Dance", and Miles Davis' "Human Nature (lol, funny that even back then that was Smooth Jazz's only Miles track in rotation, as it remains today)." Of course it wasn't called Smooth Jazz back then either, as they referred to themselves as "Cleveland's Cool FM", although the jock did mention "Smooth Sounds" in the upcoming set.
