Amy Wadas is leaving KDKA-TV on July 14th.
The universe was practically begging Amy Wadas and her husband to give living in Denver a shot. So, they obliged.
The Scott native and longtime KDKA-TV reporter and anchor began taking the Mile High City seriously as a possible destination when her husband landed a new job there. Though giving up the life and career they had been built in her hometown over the course of eight years wasn’t easy, Wadas decided it was time to take a leap of faith when she secured a job as an anchor and reporter at Denver’s KMGH-TV.
“It was kind of like the stars aligned in a way that it was a really good opportunity for career growth for me,” Wadas told the Post-Gazette. “When he got an opportunity too, to us, it was too much of a sign that we shouldn’t not take this because of how everything was lining up.”
