I look forward to this time every year here on the Alternative boards. What has become sort of a semi-tradition, As we do here at this time is post your local Alternative stations top songs from 2011 here. What a year for music it was! We had our first top 5 Top 40 alternative crossover thanks to Foster the People. The Foo released a dynamite album and lots of new surprising and innovative acts making the charts (Portugal. the Man, Gotye, The Naked and Famous, etc.). Here's to an even better 2012!!

Since 97.5 HFS in Baltimore didn't emerge from their six-and-a-half year hiatus until August, they opted to do "The Top 60 HFS Songs of the Last Five Months of 2011" (a title that's as amusing as it is awkward).
