Note: if you are not in radio operations, management or sales or program management, you won't find this relevant. It's about the business of radio, not whether your favorite song is getting high rotations.
 
Keep in mind that Holland is mainly a news/talk programmer and manager.
But many of his observations are particularly appropriate for podcasting today, where essentially all podcasts are derivatives of news/talk or morning shows without the music.

Does Holland work with any significant radio clients any longer? I remember seeing him exasperated at the state of the format in the 2010s, possibly as an expert guest on CNN or MSNBC. The news/talk format is still stuck in the same rut.
