Anyone update with New York country 94.7 move tower?

Signal is still very weak in Eastern Nassau County. Does anyone know when WNSH will be moving it’s new signal to the new WOR antenna that is closer to NYC? Hoping for better signal on Long Island.

I thought it would have been up long ago, unless they are still trying to get into ESB or 1WTC (though there so many technical hurdles for that to happen). Does anyone think the new antenna will realistically help the signal on Long Island?

Not always so .... Z100 and WQXR also use Newark as their city of license and they both transmit from the ESB

And WPAT-FM, licensed to Paterson, is also on the ESB.

Don't count on it. The horizon blockage by the buildings on Manhattan will be a major impediment.

There is no local country station in Nassau. The only country station on Long Island is WJVC 96.1 and they transmit from the Manorville tower. The signal does not carry anywhere remotely close to Western Suffolk so as to protect 96.3 in NYC.

There is also a country station in Waterbury, CT at 92.5 but its signal is only receivable in Central and Eastern Suffolk County. The only country station that "serves" Nassau is WNSH.
