106.1 Question(s)

ETERNAL MAGA DITTOS!

I think 106.1 is a great station! However I am confused about a couple of things.

1. How come there is no promotion of "The Dave Ramsey Show", "The Jessy Kelly Show" or "AM Coast to Coast". I think in the many years listening I heard one promo for Dave Ramsey.

2. This is more of a format question. How come the above 3 shows are on (I guess it is called "tape-delayed").. I do not understand why a talk show would be aired after the fact. (As I found out many years ago), there is not a way to participate in the show.

I guess I am spoiled a little bit. Back in the day in college, I called KDKA constantly, Roy Fox, John Cigna, and especially "Mr." Marshall!!!

Almost all national shows, whether they are based around music or talk, is tape delayed (not to mention voice-tracked) to fit the needs of the station. It is sad we have come to this, but the stations have advertisers to satisfy and a schedule to keep. It was funny last night (Monday) when the Ben Shapiro show kept saying it was Friday, but that's how it goes. A more local show is more likely to be live. KDFD does a good job of show promos in the mornings ("Tune into me, Sean Hannity, at 1, Today, right here" etc...) but I think unlike TV, people tune into radio for the here and now while they are driving around, as my local music stations rarely mention their show names. (KRRR has the occasional mention of it's schedule, if you're lucky to catch it).
