WXLO/Worcester drops night guy AJ Crozby

The cuts continue at WXLO.

First morning guy Chris Zito left after a contract renewal couldn't be reached. (And now he's heading to mornings at Oldies 103/Boston).

Then, they apparently fired morning sidekick Sully after bringing in new co-host Steve Donavon.

Now, according to Radio and Records, night guy (7pm-10pm) AJ Crozby has been cut.

Crozby was "was Production Director for the (Worcester Citadel) cluster and had done nights on Hot AC WXLO and Oldies WORC."

Given that the multi taskers of the business are going to be the ones who survive how do you eliminate a production director who voice tracks two stations also?Someone has to do the job.

Wow! Shocking news.....this industry is truly on it's last leg. A few people making all the money and the rest and the hardest working people making NOTHING or simply let go. Instead of cutting where all the "fat" is they cut where there is none....makes no sense.

Have you read the news lately? Circuit City closing almost 200 stores, DHL laying off thousands and getting out of the air freight business, etc, etc, etc. Business sucks in general. Cutbacks are going on everywhere. It ain't just radio.
In the "good old days" before reliable automation there were a certain number of staffers you needed to keep a station on the air. Those days are gone for good.

I tried applying, sweet gig...in 20 years you can retire, and you don't even have to work sundays
