Would John DePetro Blame Alan Berg For His Own Murder

D

In 1982 KOA Denver talk show host, Alan Berg, was murdered in his apartment garage by a group of anti-semitic right wing neo-Nazis.

Berg went after these lunatics on a regular basis on his Denver talk show.

Would John DePetro say that Alan Berg contributed to his own murder because he should have known better than to place his life in danger by living and broadcasting his talk show in an area that is a den for neo-Nazis? Shouldn't he have found a virtual Pleasantville and broadcast from there?

Seems by DePetro logic Alan Berg should have not taken the chance to antagonize those crazies in that Denver community and that in fact Berg's irresponsible behavior caused his own murder.

Cf. Eric Begosian's "Talk Radio".

You're mixing apples and oranges. First of all, only he'd know how he'd repsond to a hypothetical. We don't know if this was a planned killing in New York, but evidence suggests so far it wasn't. I think, with all due respect, you're reaching, although I'm glad someone still remembers the Berg killing.

Moderator was right ,close this board.

I agree with moderator Classicradionut, you should close it down. One person, with several names, has turned this board into a nut house.

Yes, saw that movie (ironically enough, at a theatre in Bogosian's hometown
of Woburn). DePetro is having his 15 minutes of fame now. He was on
Scarborough, the guy that bumped _Howie_? :)

Okay, so the board is closed down. Then where do those of us who want to talk about the Boston radio market go to post news and views?

Mickey,
I know, but ,the Moderators don`t seem to want
to ban the nut jobs.
This board is a 'I hate Depetro, Howie Car' Board.
Whats the sense???
One of the posters is a talk host on a small station.
That person will do ANYTHING to get someone in trouble.
Anyway to take anothers job to get ahead, ANYTHING...
