Worst Cable Systems in America

In Canada it doesnt work that way. The CRTC has a list of cities that cable companies can use for US Nets and all are on Satellite (Via CANCOM). Detroit, Buffalo, Seattle and Spokane are the Big 4 cities. Rochester, NY Fox has been on the list for years. In fact in Thunder Bay they had to petition to the CRTC to be allowed to change from Detroit to Minneapolis for US Nets.

In Winnipeg as example they have
WCCO Minneapolis CBS
WDAZ Grand Forks ABC
PBS Grand Forks
KARE Mpls NBC
FOX Rochester, NY

Even if said stations can be picked up with an over the air antenna? Sounds like Soo Ontario kind of gets screwed.

Eagle Communications has some cursed systems.

There is a cable system in rural Iowa that truly is cursed. If you turn to channel 666, all of your plants will die!

That Big Springs, NE system is probably the worst in channel selection. I count 37 channels including 2 movie channels. That's as if they never got out of 1993!

Big 4 not that I've seen. A place like London, ON has the big 4 from Detroit. They also have a couple stations from Cleveland but not Big 4 nets
Like I say in parts of Manitoba they do get WDAZ as the ABC and Prairie Public PBS but the others are from Minneapolis

Almost every other area of Canada that can pick up a Big 4 affiliate OTA usually carries it on cable. Montreal gets Burlington VT channels while parts of New Brunswick gets WAGM for CBS.

Suddenlink Communications - Trinity, TX (Tyler-Longview DMA): http://www.zap2it.com/tvlistings/trinity?zip=75862&mso=17719&store=1&lineupid=USA-TX42634-DEFAULT
No digital cable, but does carry three of the Big 4 from Houston and CBS from Bryan-College Station (whose tower happens to be in the Houston market!)

I think Trinity is in the Houston DMA.

Tyler-Longview DMA: NBC, ABC, CBS (no FOX)
Houston DMA: NBC, CW, FOX, MNT, ABC (no CBS)
Waco-Bryan DMA: CBS only

To add insult to injury, Suddenlink's Huntsville system (just down the road) does have digital cable and all of the Houston stations in HD!

I see that lineup is missing CNBC. That's bad. No business-related channels on that whole system.

Heartland Cable - Sublette IL (Rockford DMA)
Carries the Big 4 from Chicago and Rockford, along with CW, MNT, WCIU and PBS from Chicago.
No digital cable, but some Internet.

That system has TBN on cable channel 17, which appears to be the national feed. I'm surprised that the cable company didn't just pick up TBN via antenna from WWTO LaSalle (whose stick is about 25 miles southeast of Sublette)--unless that's their source for the network but they just list it as "TBN" on the channel guide.
