Are people willing to try something new? Like something as unconventional as a black toothpaste?
An article by Deni Kirkova for Metro published on October 30 introduced a new toothpaste formula from Curaprox with a base ingredient of activated carbon, from charcoal, which is said to absorb and remove stains without wearing away tooth enamel.
Reports said that mixing the carbon on toothpaste makes it better than typical whitening toothpastes, as those abrasive particles and bleaching agents erode the enamel.
“Refreshingly lemony charcoal toothpaste! ‘Black Is White’ whitening toothpaste removes discoloration using activated carbon without abrading or bleaching”; the Black is White product was described by Curaprox in their website.
Although it will be awkward to see your entire mouth blackened while brushing, the new toothpaste gives extra reassurance, as the blue optical filter in the Black is White, which is mint with citrus, reduces yellow discoloration.
