Of course WDSD and WRTX have DJ staffs, so maybe more voice tracking, or even using I Heart Radio online programming or music and voice minus legal id's and local info [so maybe a CC station in Houston has a similar format so use that minus their local spots, local info, sort of like AM 1290 did with Standards music, the computer was loaded with the local stuff and when keyed in by the network host in LA [I believe was where he was] the local stuff aired. CC could do the same thing getting a bigger bang for their buck of this higher paid DJ in a major market, and cut costs dramatically in medium and small market stations. It would have a local sound to it, but yet literally be from the bird. They might even be able to make more money with this as any national spots would be paying for all the other markets their spots were now being heard in vs just Houston or wherever.
As for WILM and WDOV they share Bruce Elliot, Phil Feliciangeli, and their sports guy [forget his name maybe he's one of the four as Phil can read sports from the wire just as easily - the traffic reporter does the traffic for all the CC Delaware stations and may not even be a CC employee - just part of a traffic service they use] Bruce's AM drive show seems to have plenty of local spots, but may still be a money loser, so maybe Bruce and Company would be three of the four cuts and WILM/WDOV go to the bird during AM Drive. WWTX 1290 the Ticket is all from the bird [Fox Sports Radio/Premiere Radio] other than local sportscasts of Blue Hen Sports, Penn State sports, Balt Ravens Football and Balt Orioles Baseball which one would assume brings in some much needed cash from local avails and listeners.
So it seems that AM's have already "given at the office" and other than being on the bird 24/7 for WDOV, WILM, and WWTX can't cut much and have any local presence on air, but other than Blue Hen, Penn State, and Balt Pro Sports, the local prsence on CC Delaware AM's might be at an end. WDSD and WTRX might also be less live and local.
