There are Three Dance Stations Here

See the news item (with links) about them (WPOW HD-2,
Tunzradio LPFM, and Party online) in September Radio News:

At the same time, though, it would be nice to have a dance station that doesn't require an IB(A)C-compatible radio or an Internet connection.

Post 955 dedicated to WKQI Detroit, "Channel 9-5-5". It's the closest thing to a modern-day version of the original Power 96 that I've heard since I left Miami.<P ID="signature">______________

I suppose.

It also would be nice to have a
classical station that didn't require
a $500 HD multicast radio or a web
connection, too.

The reason this is relevant is that
Party 93.1 is what Cox replaced Classical
WTMI with after 31 years serving the
community, back in 2001.

Ironic, huh?

Y'know, we could just merge classical and dance music...wait, Walter Murphy did that back in the 70's with "A Fifth of Beethoven".

That was disco, wasn't it?

Not even close to what they call "dance" music today.

Yeah, people used to say that Disco was soulless and repetitious. Then came Techno. Then you knew what soulless and repetitious really was.

FYI: There are no licensed LPFM's on 88.7 in FL

FYI: There are no FCC-licensed LPFM radio stations legally operating in the State of Florida.

Tunzradio 88.7 is a Part 15 - Net only

Tunz-Radio is actually a net only station, owned by a young dude named Jeff. They do broadcast on 88.7 During Live Remotes, with a Part 15 transmitter, but you can only hear the signal about 200 to 500 feet away from the Mobile Van.
