WBRO - Waynesboro

Year back, WBRO was the only station in Waynesboro, back in the 1960s, Earl Lauderdale was manager and the station was owned by Jim Denny and Webb Pierce (who also owned WJAT in Swainsboro).

A few years ago, while passing through Waynesboro, I drove out to the station location, looks like it was and is abandoned, although the tower is still up and the building looks in decent shape from the outside.

Anyone know a bit about the later history of the station and when it went off the air?

All I could find was the old history cards:

Briefly looking at the cards I detect some "drama" with the early ownership.
