Vizio to carry the Locast App on their TV's

Vizio wil have Locast for access of Local TV channels.

Locast has announced that it is now available for Vizio SmartCast TV users. With Locast, viewers can stream local channels, allowing access to live, local coverage of news, weather, sports, and more.

While the local channel streaming service is free, users will get frequent disruptive notifications asking for a $5 monthly donation for the service. When an automatic monthly donation is set up, the notifications will stop and users can watch their channels without interruption.

To use the Locast app on your Vizio SmartCast TV, you’ll need to activate Locast to start watching. You can activate on a phone, computer, or another device connected to your internet network. Just sign up, click Activate near the top left of the page, and enter the activation code on your screen.

Even after you donate, any given Channel stops after 3 hours of viewing and you have to restart the app.
