Vermont PBS and Vermont Public Radio to merge operations

https://radioinsight.com/headlines/197398/vermont-public-radio-vermont-pbs-to-merge/

Yes this is a ploy to merge operations and it will take some time for the merger to be completed by 2021 as the estimated date.

Same thing has been done in Western Massachusetts, where New England Public Radio (WFCR and network) and the WGBH-operated PBS affiliate, WGBY, have joined forces as New England Public Media. No drastic changes noted on the radio side yet, don't know about TV.

Here is an update on the Vermont Public Media talks.

Nothing on possible VPR changes. Here's hoping VPR Classical can continue as is and not have to simulcast Morning Edition and All Things Considered.
