You're right, while I was recently driving through south Georgia I got just about every genre known from small town radio..
When driving in different towns, it always seems that they have "better" selections of radio stations since one only gets a little snippet of their total programming day. Tune in a brand new station for half an hour, and there's a good chance you'll hear five to seven good songs. It's when you live in the town and hear those stations day in and day out, and realize that they're playing those same few songs over and over and over and over that it dawns on you that the station really sucks. The same goes for sampling out-of-town stations streamed on the internet. They all sound good at first, until you listen long enough that their miniscule playlists start repeating.
