This just in: Tribune to buy WQAD, WHO, and all other sister stations

Tribune will pay $2.7 billion to buy all the stations from Local TV, LLC. Also, Tribune will also acquire half of This TV. Since This Chicago is moving to WGN 9.3, I wonder if This Quad Cities will be next...
 
Tribune just keeps getting bigger. I have a feeling the next retransmission disputes are going to be ugly. The more stations they get, the more leverage the have to collect from Mediacom, Dish, etc.
