Years ago I was in a Walmart around the first couple of weeks of September and they were playing Christmas music over the in-store system. I figured it was just a glitch but I was in a couple of different ones over a couple of days and they were playing Christmas music in those also. There must have been some god-awful kickback from the public because about three days later they were back to regular "buy our crap" music. And this year Lowes had their Christmas tree display up in August!

Yes, Friday was Veterans Day...the Question is: Why isn't this country going to observe Remembrance Sunday like the rest of the English speaking world?
Because we have a whole separate day for that: Memorial Day.
I should point out that Memorial Day observations in the US predate Remembrance Day in the UK.
And I thought Memorial day was just for Sales...well I'll be...
