Shirtless in Hot Wreather?

I was just curious how many guys here like going outside shirtless during hot weather. Do you like doing it? If you don't do it, is it because your self-concious(sp?)? And how about guys who are like me and are overweight? Do you go outside shirtless?

As for myself, I'm shy about going outside without a shirt on. It's not because I'm very overweight, it's because I'm self-concious because I have a lot of hair on my body. Although it's not the same as being completely shirless if it's very hot I try to wear a shirt that can be unbuttoned and walk around with it unbuttoned.
______________

I usually don't walk around shirtless unless I am at some swimming party or something like that. This past week, the temperature has hit 90 and it has been very hot and sticky, but I still wear a shirt! I don't think the boss would be happy if I was in the office without a shirt on!
______________

Jay, just out of curiosity, are you one of those guys with mountains of shoulder hair?--You know, I only ask that because that thing always amazed me! A guy wearing a tank top with tons of shoulder hair!

BTW, assuming for a moment that you're a man with a lots of body hair....may I ask, are you balding (to any degree)? I've noticed over the years that it seems like the more body hair a man has, the more likely he is to be bald or balding to some degree or another. Have you ever noticed that? I'm not saying that all hairy men are bald/balding, mind you!......But I would bet you that a very high percentage of hairy men are, in fact, bald/balding!---I think it has something to do with having a higher testosterone level or something like that.

At 23, I still have all my hair. I do have lots of hair on my sholders, but it's not a bush. I think all my hair is becuase I'm Greek on my mother's side.
______________

All the neighbors would be shouting "no, put it back on, please"! Let's say, not right now.

This thread is very interesting to me. I didn't know guys talked about their bodies to other guys. Oh well...I think some men are removing their back and chest hair in the summer. I even saw some hair removers like Nair made for men at CVS. Could be cheaper to use that then waxing at a salon.
Wear a tank or muscle shirt around the neighborhood if your hot. I have seen nice sleeveless t shirts in catalogs for men. They even have chest pockets for your pocket pen protector...:)

If its outside at the swimming pool/beach, yeah. Otherwise nah. Because I don't want sunburn. Inside I have no problem walking around shirtless.

Alright! Now time out! I gotta ask..............Is your name really "Ethel Mertz"?!
If so, then....Wow!

That's almost as wild as the guy on the Oklahoma board who insists that his name really is..................."Hugh G. Rection"!

On the positive side, if theres a ice age, Im surviving....

I'm not skinny either (but not really fat, just a little pudge and a belly) And when it's hot, my shirt goes off. Period.

My problem when I was younger wasn't my weight. It was my body hair. I'm covered in fur. I grew up in the '80s when the definition of a hot looking guy with girls went from hairy to Nair smooth, so that used to bug me a lot (but hairy chests are making a comeback - finally.)

No Ethel Mertz is just a nick name a couple radio friends gave me years ago.
I think they were smoking some weed maybe at the time. I never knew why..
They called my car the Mertz mobile..

It's news to me too. Frankly, this whole thread is grossing me out.

Well, gotta go mow the lawn (shirt off), drink some beer and do some other manly stuff.
______________

Oh, I see. BTW, I failed to mention that there's a guy over on the Cleveland board who calls himself......"Richard Head".

Yep! That's right!....."Richard Head"

Hmmmm......I wonder how long it took him to think up a name like that one?

Say, you don't suppose that that's a name his friends (or enemies) gave him years ago, do you?? LOL!

At this point I would only do it (in informal situations only) if I could manage to lose about 20 or 30 pounds. I had no problem with it the few times in my life that I've managed to diet/exercise myself thin.
