Hey everyone...

Sorry if this is old and has been discussed before, but I see there's an opening at the station for an assistant News Director. Any idea where the current one is heading??

Thanks!

ASSISTANT NEWS DIRECTOR
Houston, TX -- Added: 6/7/2005
Newsradio 740 KTRH in Houston is looking for an Assistant News Director. This is a rare opportunity in one of our company's biggest newsrooms and we're looking for a special person. This is not a 9 to 5 gig...we need someone who lives news 24/7. We need somebody with previous news management experience who's also anchored, reported and edited at some point along the way. Our AND has to do it all...help manage the news staff, edit, anchor special news coverage, fill in for main anchors, and report as needed. Send resume/demo to: Bryan Erickson, News Director, KTRH/KPRC/KBME, 2000 West Loop South, Suite 300, Houston, TX 77027; [email protected].

Could this mean that Tara Howard has exited the station? Also, it is apparent that Afternoon Anchor Bonnie Petrie is gone.

KTRH REALLY does mean "keep the resume handy"!!

That's horrible!

It's also horrible if in fact Bonnie Petrie has left. Hopefully if that's true, she's moved onto better things..but if she was forced out....who ever made that call made a big mistake.

Although....I just came across this job posting, dated 6/21

Newsradio 740 KTRH in Houston has an opening for a full time reporter/anchor. Need someone who loves to go live, writes like people talk and is ready to hit the street running. This is not a job for beginners. Send demo and resume to [email protected] or mail to KTRH Attn: Bryan Erickson. 2000 West Loop South Ste 300. Houston Tx 77027.

Could that be Bonnie?? SOMEONE out there must know.
