I will never understand WKYT airing Y&R on a one day delay at 9am…and then not even airing a 1 hour newscast at noon.
 
When WITI was CBS in Milwaukee aired YR at 9am Central time...idk how CBS allowed this, but I remember seeing this for WKYT in the 90s. In WKYT case the station runs away #1.

A lot more stations used to air daytime shows out of pattern and sometimes not at all.

For example WBTV didn’t used to air Y&R at all until 1980. When they did start clearing it, Search for Tomorrow was on a delay for a while. And for about a year they aired Y&R at 10am. Then they moved TPIR to 10:30 from 11 from 1982 to 1982 so they could air Top O’The Day at 11:30.
