I have about 3 phones here NIB. They look like Merlin phones but don't appear to work with my 410 KSU. Maybe someone on here can Identify these phones and tell me if there is a may to make them play with my 410.
See pic's below. white sticker on bottom of phone has att logo with the following number RF87WA09 and the other tag has the following Z7103A01C and below that 845P12. the bottom has 3 switches marked w/a "." , "1", "2".

Merlin phones work with their own controller as they were (are) a hybrid phone. Some of the functions are analog (voice), and the rest are digital. Merlin controllers are still around on the used market. All of the functions are low voltage.

If I remember my phone stuff, the KSU is for the multpair key systems. These phones are all analog and are high voltage: talk and ring battery levels. The old key system phones were built to last several lifetimes.

I have the 410 KSU 4 line 10 extension. I have 8 Used Merlin Classic Desk phones. What i need for them is the slide on desk stands. then i have 3 NIB merlin phones that look just like the used ones i have except there is 3 switches on the bottom of these phones and they dont seem to work with the 410 KSU. I am trying to identify if these phones go two a merlin plus or a merlin legend system and is there a way to make them backwards compatable to the 410 ksu by flipping those switches.

If you do a search on the web, you can find a number of places still selling new and used Merlin parts. Metro out of Chicago is one. There are still a lot of systems in use and AT&T/Lucent sold a lot of phones. The weakess in the Merlin 208/410/820 is the power supply in the KSU. Mine failed. It was easier and cheaper to buy a Merlin Plus/Classic which can be upgraded to have all of today's phone system features.
