Anyone know what will happen in Orlando?

Since Salem has purchased WORL 660 AM in Orlando, will Gallagher be moving from WFLF 540 AM - the Clear Channel owned "Rush" Station which refeeds his show from 6-9pm to go live on WORL at his normal time. WFLF (WFLA on the air)is 50kw and WORL is just 1kw but does loyalty to Network come first?

Good question, though I'm kind of chuckling about a question about Mike Gallagher being posted on the "Hot Talk" board. Howard Stern, Tom Leykis, and... Mike Gallagher? Does he have any strippers on his show? Does he sign female body parts? ;)

Seriously, though...I believe Mike's live clearance these days is 9-noon ET. Salem's conservatalkers have generally been running TRN's Laura Ingraham in that slot instead of Gallagher, even though they own his show. Here, Gallagher runs in late nights on Salem's WHK/1420.

That occurred to me too. Let's face it: Gallagher is about as far from "hot" as you can get... ;P

I don't think Ingraham is on in the market, so she'll likely take 9-noon. Gallagher will stay put; Salem doesn't poach shows from stations with higher ratings (read: all of them). In Seattle, (K)KOL has only half of the SRN shows, because Medved is on KTTH after Rush, Ingraham's on at night, etc.

Although WFLF is one sorry mess... Gallagher sounds terrible live let alone 9 hours old. And the whole deal with Coast being on before the sun even sets is ridiculous.

Well, since we're already over here in Hot Talk with this thread... :)

AllAccess reports that Gallagher is moving in his new "flagship market" of Dallas, where he's aired 9-noon CT at Infinity news/talk KRLD/1080. Salem's own KSKY/660 picks him up for mornings starting in January.

No word on if "Mornings" means 9-noon, 6-9 CT, or some combination of hours.

UPDATE: Gallagher to air 6-9am on KSKY. I may be right or wrong below... Salem says they'll have a show focusing on local issues (he broadcasts from nearby Irving), which could mean he'll do 5 hours a day, 6-8 local and 8-11 for SRN.

That's a boneheaded move. Granted KRLD is the scourge of those of us who congregate at the watercooler of radio, but it has street cred amongst the general listening public. They even gave him a local hour! KSKY is a non-entity, and already has Laura Ingraham. I hope they're not going to do what KJCE/Austin did with Gallagher, and now with O'Reilly, running him 6-8am on a 19-hour delay (and then there's Monday...). The only other ones to do such a thing AFAIK are WPTT/Pittsburgh with Ingraham.

Nevertheless, maybe SRN should make Gallagher the morning host and actually clear the guy on its stations with everyone else. Could Bill Bennett be looking for a new job?
