Ok, as soon as I get paid I'm getting XM. I still have 2 or 3 choices for oldies where I live, but the playlists keep getting more and more myopic & my vacation spots have zilch as far as oldies goes (that and I like having electronic toys). Im going with the Delphi Roady2 from Best Buy, unless anyone has any other suggestions. I chose XM beacuse of the tuner prices (and they have O&A), and the music varity seems better than Sirius.

Any suggestions?
______________

I've had the Roady2 for a few months now, no problems. Considering you can find it now for as low $39.99, it's a good starter radio to use especially if you're not 100% about satellite yet. Although now that I have XM, I wonder why I lived without it for so long.

I've had a Roady2 for a year and no major problems. It's a high quality receiver.

A minor problem is that the power jack is wearing out. I very occasionally have to push in the power cord further or turn it if I hit a bump in the road.

I'd say get a MyFi if you can afford it, but you will probably be satisfied with the Roady2.

I have had the Roady2 for about a month,no trouble.
only complaint I would have is you can't display station/artist/song title all at once because the screen is too small,so I just stick with the artist/song title display option and perhaps I will upgrade to a more feature packed radio in the future.

My suggestion is get the Tao xmtogo. It's pricy at 300.00 but it does and solves everything as far as equipped with accessories. Has it's own FM transmitter, and many numerous features. it could be used for home, car, or mountain bike, or listening to it like an IPOD. Just to sum it up.

I have a Roady 2 in the bedroom. It works great.

If you're going to be moving the unit between house and car, you might wear out the jacks over time. With the current price of the Roady (and some online places have had them on special for $19.99 lately) you can always buy a spare.
______________

Suggest SkyFi2

F&F have both the SkyFi2 and a Roady2; both sound good, both look good, both work well - BUT,
I would probably go with the SkyFi2 for 2 reasons: you can read more information in the display, and you get the 30 minute 'rewind' feature to go back to a song you might have missed while you were on the phone or whatever.

The multicolor display of the Roady2 is very cool, but you don't get a remote. It is much smaller in size and fits better in the car, but I still give the edge to the SkyFi2 if you can afford it.

Either one is good - enjoy the Decades channels - it's how radio used to sound and I love it!

How does that work? Do you just get to select a color to match the dashboard display in your car, or did they do something more creative like let you assign different colors for different channels?

I just upgraded from the SkyFi to the SkyFi-2 and love it; it addresses all the issues of the original, mainly that I can read it in the daytime.
______________

on the Roady2 you can select from several screen background colors
(red, orange, pink, blue, etc)...only realy shows up in the dark.

however, the Roady2 is extremely easy to navigate...the menus make
sense...it's all very logical and easy to use WHILE DRIVING!
______________
