Louie Louie

In the late 1970s there was a top 40 DJ in the morning who instituted a Louie Louie competition with another US station. The object was to play the most recordings 24/7 and I think the contest lasted for a whole weekend. There were bands, choirs and crazy people from around the world pouring their hearts into LL.
I also remember the DJ as bizarre, for instance he had women undress on the radio, play by play. Strange guy.
Please let me know if you remember any details of the DJ and the Louie Louie contest.
