Lots of Action This Week On The UK Top 40

The Top 4 songs in the UK are all new entries! Debuting at number one is an incredible Rock song by a great act called The Arctic Monkeys. Don't know how compatible this song is with CHR radio in America (although I personally love it) though there are some Modern Rock stations already showing support for this group.
Take a listen to the Arctic Monkeys number one hit "When The Sun Goes Down":

And for some of the best Modern Rock in the world listen to the super high quality webcast of the world famous 106.7 K-Rock Los Angeles (128 K MP4) http://67.43.161.248:6333

KROQ is known for championing songs like Matisyahu "King Without A Crown", Depeche Mode "Precious" (topped the charts all over Europe), Coldplay's "Talk" (number one yet again this week in Holland!), and Him's "Wings of A Butterfly" (huge hit in Germany).

Back in the UK the Notorious BIG along with Diddy and Nelly debut at 2 with "Nasty Girl". The song is in Medium rotation on several American CHR/Pop stations including 97.9 Kiss FM Jacksonville, Channel 955 Detroit, and 96.1 Kiss FM Pittsburgh, Channel 941 Omaha, B-92 Charleston, and on Roanoke's WJJS.

Will Young, whose big with the ladies, bows at number 3 with "All Time Love", while Beyonce (currently number 2 on Billboard's Hot 100) debuts straight at 4 with "Check On It".

There's actually two more new entries inside the UK Top 10 - "Say Say Say" by Hi-Tack at 8, and Son of Dork with "Eddie's Song" is new at 10.

Down in the teens numbers, Madonna, Simon webbe, and the Black Eyed Peas have all been on the chart over 10 weeks, and the eclectic act Belle & Sebastian make a debut at 13 with "Funny Little Song".

Noteworthy: The Arctic Monkey's previous hit "I Bet You look Good on the Dance Floor" is in its 14th week on the chart (moves down to 23), The Pussycat Dolls have two hits on the countdown including "Dont Cha" (now in its 20th week!!), The Kaiser Chiefs "I Predict A Riot" actually moves back up in its 12th week, and Kanye West has back to back positions 34 and 35 ("Gold Digger" has been on the chart for 15 weeks).
