LA Rams TV

They have to load up the trucks in St. Louis and physically move there first. I doubt that selecting their preseason/TNF/MNF TV outlets are all that high a priority at this point.

What local channel in Los Angeles is scheduled to air Rams preseason games?

There has been no announcement about that. As Keith says, they're a little too preoccupied with actually getting here.

To give you some idea of how much you're jumping the gun, the NFL itself hasn't announced the 2016 pre-season schedule yet. (And they won't, according to their website, do so until early March.)

The NFL pre-season typically starts the second weekend of August. This is the next-to-last weekend in January. You do the math.

The regular season schedule usually comes out sometime near Draft Day, although all the opponents are known immediately after the end of the regular season. IIRC, the preseason schedule comes out about a month later, in mid-late May. Some teams put theirs out before others.

Once they establish their facilities in LA, the broadcast situation will be worked out ASAP.

I believe that KABC gets to air the Rams (and possibly Chargers) MNF games as per the NFL contract that ABC affiliates get those games in their teams markets.

I think the OP is (over)eager to know which station will have the Sunday afternoon Rams games, which far outnumber the Monday ones.

The contract for MNF is between ESPN and the individual stations. Given that KABC-TV is an O&O, those games involving the Rams will probably end up there. But an ABC affiliation isn't absolutely required. For many years, those games involving the Arizona Cardinals aired on KTVK, despite having lost ABC years earlier. They moved to KNXV-TV after KTVK was sold to Meredith.

The contract for TNF games that don't air on CBS (or whoever will air them in the future) is between the league/NFLN and the individual stations. Those Rams games could go anywhere.

Yes, the regular season games will mostly be on FOX due to the NFL's TV contract. This thread is about the preseason rights, which the teams control, and also the "local broadcast" partner for any games that would otherwise air only on cable e.g. Monday Night Football.

The Rams have chosen KCBS for all pre-season games and the weekly coach's show as well. Prime-Time CBS programming will likely shift to KCAL on game nights.

Yes, KCBS is the big preseason winner here, but it is certainly true that Fox will run most Rams games, except when the Rams are at home against an AFC team, then the game will be shown on CBS. So KCBS will double back with a nice rating.

Where does this leave the Raiders?

KTLA is off of the Raiders' network, it seems like. I saw a listing for the Raiders' first preseason game (Aug. 12 at Arizona), and KTLA wasn't one of the stations listed. Beside the home stations, KTVU/KICU in the Bay Area, the Raiders' preseason TV network now only includes KBAK/KBFX Bakersfield, KGPE Fresno, KHON Honolulu, KVCW-DT2 Las Vegas, and KQCA Sacramento. As far as the Chargers, they're shifting their preseason TV in L.A. to KCAL 9.
