L.A. Radio is humming along unlike the rest of the country.

Also, once Robinsons-May (May Dept. Stores) becomes (part-of) Macy's (name change to follow next year after merger), the L.A. Times is really going to suffer. IMHO, it couldn't happen to a better failing liberal newspaper.

General rule of thumb: If it is bad for the LA Times, it is good for the people.

Guess what group of stations is responsible for most of the increase in the market?

Shortsited comment...guess you aren't thinking about papers you like and how those stats affect those papers......will the very Conservative OC register with its weak content be hurt as well? or other conservative papers?

The times is a good paper and has weathered worst days than this....

I like your thinking :)

As for the L.A. Times, its circulation continues to decline while the population in the region increases. I'm only paying $1 per week for a 7-day delivered newspaper (call and try to cancel it and they'll do anything to keep you) which keeps shrinking in lineage. If it wasn't for the ads and coupons, I wouldn't even take it.

Very poor quality heavily slanted liberal opinionated newspaper (including in the writing of what should be objective stories) for a major city. For an entertainment-oriented city, the Calendar section is a disgrace.

What advertiser really needs this rag anymore. It is no wonder radio advertising isn't decreasing in this market while newspaper ads are.

The L.A. Times has never had as bad "Times" as they are now so get your facts correct. Circulation down, advertising lineage down, classified ads down, consolidation of regional issues, downsizing of staff...

Also, the Orange County Register is a LIBERTARIAN slanted newspaper, not conservative. I hope you know the difference. I find many more interesting stories in that paper than my hometown rag, the L.A. Times.

That may have been true at one time but today it is just another right wing mouth piece for the GOP. They even put on the front page of their paper last week a story touting a GOP fundraiser. It's a disgraceful rag now a days.

Change liberal to conservative and you've described the Orange County Register.
