Just wondering...

Hello fellow Rock fan.
I was just wondering if anyone knows of a radio station ANYWHERE, wether it be online, or on the actual dial that goes by the animal name Pig, Hog, Swine, or anything close to it?

In Toronto Canada, there was a station in June of 1990 that abandoned the Country format in favour of the Hog name,(As AM 640 "The HOG" "Maximum Grunt"-CHOG radio Toronto) with a CHR-CHR Rock feel to it, but after only 6 months it failed miserably, and by the end of the year, that station became AM640, "The beat of Toronto" a CHR station, with very little or no rock.

I believe the MAIN problem was that it was an AM station, and that if it were able to exsist on FM it would have lasted longer, and possibly STILL be around today. (although, perhaps tweaked a bit, respectfully)

I really enjoyed the liners, jingles, beds etc from that station. If anyone has an old aircheck of CHOG "The HOG" or if anyone knows of a link to a station that uses the "Maximum Grunt" or "Rock radio with a twist" slogans, please let me know. This would be much apreciated.

Thanks.

There's also Fox, Bear, Buzzard...Many animals in use...a hippo though, deserves an award for the original name. On the Sufer Network player, there's even a Goat broadcasting out of Canada somewhere!

I have to agree though, a "Maximum grunt" hog also sounds like it could work somewhere. (depending on market, and format, respectfully.)<P ID="signature">______________
