"It"

You are correct, if there is something that truly impressed me when I became an XM subscriber was "It" and the vast expanse of music libraries of the decades channels. Let's hope they repeat it again. They may delay it until after July 4 weekend and maybe do it in August. This is just speculation. I was impressed with 60s on 6 countdown they did the week after Memorial Day.

With the Live 8 concerts and a few other things going on this weekend, alot of us will be overwhelmed. Let's hold it till later.

Unfortunately, there will be no "It" anytime soon.

Zellner is seeing to it that all of the "Decades" channels (and a few others)
"tighten" their playlists and stay away from the more obscure stuff.

Why? I don't know...

The whole reason I chose XM over Sirius was because XM dug deeper.

I swear if this guy starts #ucking with my XM...I'm dropping.

YOU HEAR THAT ZELLNER!!!? DON'T @UCK WITH MY XM!

So far I haven't noticed any difference from obscure stuff not being played on the decades channel. The IT was very obscure. Even the 90's was too obscure for me. But I'm sure they'll play it again by at least the Holiday season.

Yeah, I hope they don't screw it up and turn it into mainstream radio. That would suck, HARD. I haven't noticed anything different yet, but I'll be listening more closely to to see if they do start cutting the playlists. One of my favorite channels on XM is '60's on 6. That, along with some of the programming of '50's on 5, was one of the main reasons I got XM in the first place. If they turn that channel into a "same 200 songs over and over" mainstream oldies station, I'm really going to be pissed.

As the Black Eyed Peas might say, "No, no, no, no! Don't phunk with my XM!"

I have listened to 60's on 6 everyday this week from 5AM to 9AM Pacific and have heard the same songs every morning. Just do a log and you will see! I'm with you I start hearing the same songs over and over and I will drop XM too. Someone better wake this Zellner person up. It was great hearing Leslie Gore on with Phlash this morning!

One more thing don't wait til it's too late, start sending the people in charge of XM your comments on what is being played on the various channels that you like and don't like so much.
