Imus Firing Will Cost CBS $20 Million in Revenue

How Much Would Imus STAYING Cost?

That's right. All that money's gone. No one will replace Imus. It will be dead air on WFAN, and all the WW1 stations that carried Imus. (/sarcasm)

Maybe the affiliates will get smart and hire live, local talent for less than what Imus cost them, and actually serve their local markets instead of just bird-feeding local listeners. As far as WFAN is concerned, have you looked at the talent pool that they have to draw from? Not to mention the rest of the sports broadcasters who would love to be doing AM drive in NYC.

I'm just surprised that Mancow hasn't managed to insert his name into the situation - yet.
