If anyone misses KTJM 98.5 The Jam

...listen to this station on shoutcast....it is a tribute station to Chicago's old JO station.....its refreshing to listen to and another option for Houston who really needs more on FM for variety......IMO

I do and I miss KFMK Austin's Jammin 105.9, Jammin 94.1 in San Antonio and San Antonio's 1067 Jamz.

But The Jam had better variety then the other Jammin Oldies station esp. when they were 98.5 Houston's Jammin Hits back in Winter 2000.

I miss KFMK, too. And I don't like jam. Jelly, yes. Jam, no.

There was a point in the relatively short history of KTJM when their format seemed to have the variety of old top 40 radio. It was wonderful to hear such variety, REAL air talent at all hours and their 2 to 4 unit per hour spot load. I recall a long journey to Nashville, leaving Houston at 3am and listening to 98.5 until at least 5:30 before I lost the signal entirely. It made the first leg of the journey go quickly.
