I think I know where KPQP 101.9 Pop FM went wrong.....

Now that this rhythmic AC format is out, I wonder if that's where KPQP 101.9 Pop FM was at fault? What if they had turned to rhythmic AC back then? I bet if the format existed back then, it would have done much better. Oh I wish I could bring it back and try it out myself! Any thoughts?
 
Pop never really went rhythmic. It was sort of a Hot AC/CHR hybrid. I liked it, but it was too close to B98.7, so I think they pulled it. They gave it a full-bore go, but it never really flew, too much Hot AC in SLC already.
