Holiday Ratings. Warm 98, Translators, and HD2s

Warm 98 wins with Christmas. The Project on 2 translators ties one full power FM (WFTK) and beats two others (WNNF & WYGY). Four HD2s that DON'T have translators show up again: WKFS-HD2, WUBE-HD2, WKRQ-HD2, and WREW-HD2. And 2 AMs in the Top 10.

WYGY is a flank. Not a real player that anyone cares about anyway. Bad signal. 94.1 has really rotten luck. I think is was 25 years ago since they had a stable format with Wink. How long did Mix 94.1 last after that?

Another note about 94.1. If I’m not mistaken, they used to broadcast from west of downtown before they went to the Mt Adams antenna farm. Not that it matters for ratings, but the move hurt their distant reception. I used to receive troop scatter from Elizabethtown, KY back in the day. When I lived in Beavercreek by Fairfield Commons, I had trouble getting a decent signal.

I think the old tower for 94.1 was on West 8th in East Price Hill, overlooking Lower Price Hill. I think some other stations - maybe WIZF - use that tower now.
