Sure appears that way, anyhow. Cumulus was declined in its latest proposal to bring Bolivar's 101-5 back to the air on June 30, 2015.

I don't recall this being discussed here and don't know if anyone even realized this had occurred. So is that all she wrote for the Crystal Beach station? It's been off a long time now, save for a couple tests, having met its demise in Hurricane Ike.
 
Cumulus should simply turn in the license, call it a day, and write off whatever money they lost on it. The signal, when on, covers a lot of nothing: Half of it is over water, the rest is sparsely populated. It is light years away from being in a viable situation--downgraded to the point of extinction.

Might be better to delete the allocation so some more LPFMs can use 101.5.
